Followers of Mara - Laos Demons

Hi! This illustration is part of a series of three, done for the first GodForge contest, from Mytheria.
According to Laos mythology, the demon followers of the death god Mara are formidable opponents. Getting their strength from the fear and inner vices of their enemies, they rely on their sheer force and their number to crush down Buddha's allies. They can also use a great amount of energy to take the shape of a thick, dark demonic smoke to quickly move around. These demons count as some of the fiercest foes the Lao people have to fight. The Earth goddess Nang Talinee defeated them when Mara attacked Buddha.
