C.A.D - Climbing Assistant Drone

Hi!

Let me introduce C.A.D, the Climbing Assistant Drone. This little guy can carry 10 climbing pitons in its magazine as well as one pressurized air can. Result: C.A.D will scan the cliff you are climbing and automatically determine the safest path for you. Then, it will shoot the pitons like a nail gun into the cliff, and the last thing you have to do is to use them as you climb up. No need for a partner (or yourself) to hammer the pitons anymore, C.A.D’s got your back! This project was fun to imagine and realize. To achieve it, I firstly modeled a high-poly hard surface mesh in ZBrush, then made a low poly version in Maya. Finally, I textured it in Substance Painter and rendered it with Arnold.

I hope you will like this work. See you later for another 3D project!
